On Saturday I herniated a disc in my back picking up CrashBoy. I’ve been in bed nearly four days, unable to get to the computer to write a decent length post.
So today I’m cheating and uploading some pics from my iPhone of naughty CrashBoy.
Also, perfect for Wordless Wednesday with Trish from My Little Drummer Boys.
Thankfully his pants were already brown!
Please share some of your messy kids stories with me and cheer me up?

Oh Crash Test Mummy – are you doing okay? Ouchies!! Hope you are getting loads of love and attention from some friends and family to get you thru this. Love the photos – he is a monkey in the making hey!! Hope those discs get themselves back into alignment asap. Cazxx
I hope you’re feeling a bit better, Laney :)
Thank you for giving me a window into what my son is going to be like in 18 months time. He is going to love mud, puddles and all things messy, for sure.
My messy story? Well, my son is a fierce, mad eater who refuses to be fed at 7 months. He will only eat things his own way, which means mess EVERYWHERE. Today, I covered his legs up in a plastic bag while eating lunch. Result: Still got food all over his lovely overalls.
Get better soon :)

Thanks Lina. It’s getting warmer now, so soon you’ll be able to feed him outside while he’s naked and then just hose him down ;)
Thanks Caz. CrashHubby has been great and took day off yesterday and the monkeys were at daycare today and again tomorrow. Then I’m in trouble! Hobbling around a bit better now though :)
Goodness, sounds painful, hope you feel better soon. One of my funniest memories was my then 15mth old breaking into the pantry and spreading cocoa powder everywhere. She even ate the stuff, go figure!

Thanks! CrashBoy does regular raids on the pantry. I often find him ‘swimming’ in flour on the kitchen floor!
Looks like crash boy loves life to the max! Love this series and love that you let him jump in mud puddles.
I was trying to keep him out of the puddle, but lost. Then is was just fun letting him go for it!
You poor thing. I hope it’s getting better. Kids do that to our backs don’t they!
Crash boy looks like he has having a blast. I did have a giggle when you wrote ‘Thankfully, his pants were already brown”. They look grey from my computer so I was thinking something else made them brown. hehe.

Ha, ha – we’ve had those kind of ‘brown’ pants before too! I’m getting better, thanks Penny.
Oh I love it! Moments like that capture what being a child really is :)
Tutu Ames’s last post..Watched My Team Win!
Sure do, I actually enjoyed watching him. He was so cheeky ;)
Ouch about your back. I hope it heals quickly. I must say watching him slosh about made me cringe for you……all that cleaning! We’ve only had one muddy puddle incident and it was an accident that traumatised Miss T because it was a dep one and totally unexpected. Not fun to clean!
Veronica @ Mixed Gems’s last post..Wordless Wednesday – Shopping for George Clooney
Oh no, deep puddles are not as much fun. Give her a few shallow (clean) ones to splosh around in so she can get her puddle splashing mojo going ;)
LOL!! Oh, he is just enjoying himself way too much! Gumboots would have just spoilt the fun! ;)

His gumboots would have filled up pretty fast!
so glad that’s you on washing duty and not me! lol. But it does look like fun.

I managed to dodge the washing duty by herniating a disc in my back. A bit extreme I know, but they were really muddy ;)
haha mine are the same~ head straight for the muddiest puddles and splash through them lol! Im glad I learnt to chill out about it, the mess used to freak me out, now its just life with males lol!!
I hope you’re ok with your back :(
mums the word’s last post..Wordless Wednesday~ Classic Car Edition
Yep, boys seem to be all the same when it comes to dirt and mud! I don’t stress too much about it now either.
Love it! My kids do stuff like that ALL the time. It makes them so happy.
I’m happy too until I need to wash their clothes…
Amy @ MahliMoo’s last post..Wordless Wednesday… kinda
I actually got away with washing his muddy pants because the next morning I did my back! Gosh, I hope CrashHubby has washed them!
Ah, the simple pleasures in life.
Who needs gumboots anyway?
Tori @ Have Blog Will Ponder’s last post..Wordless Wednesday – Shrimps
His gumboots are at the farm, where he jumps in less savoury and much smellier things!
We LOVE jumping in puddles around here – and we don’t actually own any gumboots. My theory is that clothes can be washed, shoes can be dried, but the puddles won’t last forever!
He looks like he’s having a BALL!
Hope you are up and about and feeling better soon!
Daisy’s last post..Wordless Wednesday: Peak Hour
So true, however this particular puddle in the park always seems to be there!
hope your back feels better soon. Our kids find puddles wherever they go. When we were out visiting a friend i saw the puddle and said now dont jump in the puddle go around it. lol wasted my breath they detoured to jump right in the middle. They did have lots of fun though :) Looks like that is a great muddy puddle my girls faces would light up if they saw that
