This week I’m giving myself a break from the upcycling to focus on finding more inspiration. All of these projects are totally achievable. I’m really loving the light shade (2.) made from common plastic spoons. How many of these get thrown out after a party or picnic? It’s from a Japanese blog, so there are no instructions, but I think I could actually do this. Tell me in the comments if you want me to have a go at it!
Number (1.) is awesome – I’m sure the kids wouldn’t notice if all the toys I have to pick up every day went missing and got a bit of a make over ;)

Number (2.) is very tempting indeed.

Number (3.) are biscuit trays upcycled into magnet boards. I’ve got one that is looking worse for wear and would come up a treat with some spray paint.

Number (4.) is a great way to transform an old picture frame. I also like how easy it would be to update the photos. I have those pegs too ;)

Number (5.) is a masterpiece – using toilet rolls! It would look great spray-painted.

Number (6.) is a great way to use those cute tea tins. I have one around somewhere that I couldn’t throw out. Now I know what to do with it!

I’m definitely going to work my way through these. Which ones grab you? Join me in a bit of upcycling?

I really like the picture frame too Caz. I need to hunt around and see if we have an old frame – or keep an eye on the hard rubbish piles ;)
Huge fan of upcycling, love the toilet paper roll flower.

It’s clever isn’t it? I’m going to start saving them and give it a go. Would look great on the kids’ walls.
Love these ideas Laney! Especially the empty photo frame – I actually have a gorgeous frame just hanging in the shed at the moment, unsure what I was going to do with it. Too beautiful to throw out, yet not really our style.
I am going to do this project when we move and put it up in my study – will be perfect!!

Bingo! That’s great. Don’t you just love when you have those moments. I hold on to stuff all the time, I love finding new uses for things.
I am loving that toilet roll one. I think I will definitely have to give that one a go – Lord knows we go through enough toilet paper around here! ;) xx
Sonia @ Life Love and Hiccups’s last post..Another Fine Example of my Outstanding Parenting Skills!
We go through almost a roll per day. I think CrashGirl eats it!
I love number 3. I’ve seen a slightly different version of it on pinterest and it was actually one of the first things I pinned. Still haven’t made it, but do I get progress points for pinning it? lol
The picture frame was on a recent Better Homes and Gardens and i fell in love with it. I have a few cross stitch projects in the works for various friends children as gifts and now i plan on doing some of these inexpensive frames to put them in.
I love #4 too, would be a great gift to my grandmother (and a great way for me to continually update the kids pics that i love at home)
Seriously loving all of them – but I recyle a toilet roll per day – so I reckon I could make a heap of these and flog them at the markets!! LOL :D
Sonia @ Natural New Age Mum’s last post..Really Healthy Chocolate Crackles!
These are some really great ideas. I’ll try and work my way through this.

I LOVE number three! My Firstborn has been asking for a magnetic board for her bedroom and I just haven’t seen one that I thought was worth nearly the asking price. I have plenty of old cookie sheets lying around and she can just pick her color. She will be happy and I won’t be quite so poor. What a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you found one that you can do! It’s a great idea isn’t it? And you could make magnets from all sorts of interesting things like buttons, bottle caps, old brooches. Have fun making yours!
