Big Apple, here I come!

As you read this there’s a fairly high likelihood that I’m already on a plane, New York bound!  If you’re new to the blog (and there’s a lot of you lately!), the big news is that I’m off to BlogHer – a big conference for women bloggers held each year in the US.  There will be 4,000+ of us congregating in the Big Apple including almost 20 Aussie-based bloggers!

I’m only there for a week, and I’m starting a tech-lite challenge tomorrow, but I’ll try and blog a couple of times from New York.  I’m all set up for blogging on the go with Blogsy, my iPad and a new Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover.  I’ve also got a couple of posts scheduled as well – how organised is that?!?!?

I tell you what, I’m pretty exhausted leading into this trip.  I’ve been a little bit busy lately in case you haven’t noticed!  There was the big project getting together the video for The Truth About Being a Mum: Part 2.  You can still submit a story about Hitting the Wall and be in with the chance to win a $100AUD Visa gift card (entries close 11th of August).

Then there was my first blog birthday last weekend and the launch of my big Blog Birthday Bonanza.  There are lots of great brands with products worth over $1200 to give away.  I hope you’ve entered, because it’s my thank you to you for your support :)

With all this busyness I managed to get away for an evening last week to learn about ‘Stress Down Day’ and learn and share tips for reducing stress.  If you’ve read my backstory, you’ll know you’re reading this blog now because I was so stressed I had a nervous breakdown and started blogging.  I’ve currently got another giveaway running thanks to Bupa for a $100 prize to help you ‘stress down’.  Pop on over to Facebook to enter.

But it will be worth it, for New York and a week in Greenwich Village.  Fellow blogger Fiona from My Mummy Daze and I are travelling together and have booked a cute little penthouse apartment in ‘The Village’.  It’ll be just like Friends!
