The 1st of August is the start of Infant Massage Week. Infant Massage Australia’s mission is:
Empowering parents and enriching families through the nurturing touch of infant massage fostering healthy communication, understanding and love for children in our society.
I took CrashGirl to a infant massage class in Scotland. She was really small because she was born early, and even though she was 6 weeks old the instructor questioned how old she was. She was concerned that I had brought her straight from the hospital! I think touch, no matter their age is important, but massage is a technique that should be learned to avoid any risk of injury or discomfort to your little one.
CrashGirl was quite unsettled and always hungry due to feeding issues, and the massage really helped to her calm down. I did have my challenges though, it was so cold in Scotland and she didn’t like having her clothes taken off at all! Don’t blame her ;)
I have teamed up with my sponsor ecostore Australia to offer the Crash Test Community the opportunity to crash test the ecostore Baby Moisturiser and ecostore Sleepytime Bath.

A baby’s skin is thinner than our own, so they are more vulnerable to any toxins or chemicals put on their skin. ecostore’s baby care range of products are formulated to be gentle and protective, with no nasty chemicals.
The Sleepytime Bath is a gorgeous Lavender and Geranium infusion added to baby’s bathwater to help calm and soothe. When followed by a massage with the Lavender and Geranimum Baby Moisturiser, you should have yourself one relaxed and sleepy baby!
CrashBoy recently tipped 3/4 of a bottle of Sleepytime Bath into the bath and I reckon it must have sent a suburb of babies and toddlers off to sleep!
I’m looking for 10 CTMs to crash test and review these products. To be considered for the Crash Test Panel, please:
a) join the Crash Test Reviewers Panel and be willing to submit a review to the Crash Test Mummies Community Review site.
and
b) comment below letting me know you want to try it and share your best tip for getting your kids to sleep
That’s all! If you’re successful you’ll get a sample and hear from me with guidelines for your crash test and writing a review for the Crash Test Mummies community review site!
NB: This is not a giveaway, you will selected based on suitability for the product :)
Cheers,
Laney x

I would be very keen to try this with my 5mo!
Best tip for getting babies to sleep is harder to answer. Getting babies to sleep is like my mommy kryptonite. BUT, watching for their sleepy cues (eye rubbing with my littlest), and acting quick, seems to be the only consisten thing that works to make getting them asleep a bit easier!
Rebekah’s last post..I Love Our Town.
ps – laney, i signed up to be a crash tester a while back but i don’t remember getting a confirmation or anything. is there any way to check!! have fun in ny!!
Rebekah’s last post..We Walk to Remember.
Hi Rebekah – we’re not that sophisticated around here ;) Also, I think I have a new form since then. If you wouldn’t mind filling out the new one on the Crash Test Mummies site that would be fab. Cheers, Laney x
I would love to trial this out for Master 4 months.
My best tip to get the children to sleep is Routine Routine & Routine! With Miss 3 we always make sure she picks her own storey that she wants us to read to her and then waits snuggled in bed for us. For Master 4 months I wrap him up give him a cuddle and then lay him in his cot with his lullaby soft toy that plays gentle music. Dosn’t work all nights but most nights it does :)
Just the other day I commented on one of your posts asking for you to review a toddler friendly bath wash and moisturiser, so really you have answered my plea…..thankyou :-)
With all the kids we try to keep the routine similar, dinner then a warm relaxing bath followed by a little massage then Pj’s, a book then BED…… oh yes bed time, I love thy.
Id love to try it. Always after something that doesn’t make their hair too oily though after a lovely relaxing bath. Every child is different, in so many ways. I am now seeing that with my second to compare. My first (4 years old)needs, and always has, a big lead up that it will be bed time shortly. Having said that she happily goes down to sleep when that time finally reaches. My second, who is 6 months still needs wrapping. It seems to relax her and puts her into her own little quite environment. Some peaceful music on in her bedroom, she looks around for it if it’s not there. Where as my first doesn’t need that relaxing time but does need the bedtime warning.
I’d love to try it on my little man (although he’s already almost 14 months old, hope that’s not to old for this crash test), he get’s quite stimulated playing in the bath, and could do with some relaxation instead to help prepare for bedtime, we still massage often as he seems to like it, would love to try out a new moisturiser for this. I find the best tips for getting my little ones to sleep is to wear them out during the day (not too much though cause over-tiredness can backfire big time), no tv or major activity between dinner and bath time (lets food go down and also promotes that relaxation in preparation for bed), nice warm bath (followed by massage), comfy pjs and bedding, and stories, songs and cuddles in their dimly lit bedrooms before being popped into bed/cot for a nice big sleep (I always exit the room while they’re still awake).
I would love to try either products. We already used the bubble bath and the shampoo & love it but haven’t tried anything else yet.
My best tip to get bub relaxed if really upset is to give them a bath. Then being wrapped tight and I would stroke his little nose.
I would love to try on my 9 month old. My eldest had terrible eczema so am cautious of what I use.
Best tip – keep to routine, even if bub protests. We do dinner, bath, moisterise, pjs, pick 3 stories, then relaxation music and dim lights. Took a long time with my now 3 yr old but 9 month old much better cause we knew what we were doing!
I would love to be a tester my daughter is exactly 5 months today. She is such a good baby we give her her last bottle about 10 pm and she sleeps through until 8am.
I would love to try this for my little one, he takes after me with dry skin I feel terrible he got that from me! Best tip is to be consistent and follow a pre-bedtime routine so they understand and get the message that it is bedtime! Oh and giggle and hoot’s little night ime lullaby works a treat.
I’d love to help you trial and review the products.
My best bedtime tip would be to create a warm, quiet and calm environment in the time before bed. We love to have a cuddle and talk to our 14 month old daughter about all the great things she has done that day.
I have 4 boys my eldest suffers with eczema & the others have sensitive skin… I currently use Ecostore laundry liquid and love it.. It is the only thing I have found that doesn’t upset my sons skin..
I would love to trial the sleepytime bath & baby moisturiser for my 6 month old son as it is hard to find good safe products for the boys :)
Id love to try it out :)
Best sleep tip would be nothing beats been cuddled to sleep in a mummy or daddy’s arms :D
I would love to be part of this review panel! my best tip for getting my daughter to sleep is to keep the mood calm for the last half hour or so before bed. it makes a world of difference at bedtime, and it helps her to relax too. :)
My best tip is to start with a routine early and stick with it. We all have eczema in the family so I have always avoided using scented products. I would love to try the eco store brand, it sounds like everything I have been looking for in a product.
I would love to test these products.
My sleepytime tip is-a bath before bedtime, a little massage, kiss, say mummy and daddy (or whoever you are) love you very much, good night. It doesn’t matter if he’s going to bed a little earlier or later, bath time means bed time.
I’d love to trial the products. I recently bought some of the ECO store products for the first time to try on my girls’ who both have sensitive skin and great results so far!
My tip for sleep-time is a consistent routine of dinner time, daddy time (when he gets home), bath/ shower time, teeth, and a bottle/ cup of milk before cuddles and bedtime.
Since giving birth to my now 4 month old, I use Eco Store everything! Soap, washing powder, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, moisturiser…. the list is endless! I would be delighted to try these products on my daughter as I have such faith in this brand. My tip for a good night sleep is cluster feed until bedtime for a nice full belly, a nice relaxing bath and warm massage and lots of cuddles in bed :)
I wish we had a simple answer but i do believe routine is improtnat, not as strict routine but something basic that can be done wherever they are. Eg bath, book/ songs and bed. Also less activity in the evening and a dark room def helps.
I’m brand new to the site & would love to start to get involved as a member and be considered for this trial. :)
I’m a first time mum so I don’t have a lot of advice just yet, but when bub has a nice full tummy and is worn out from lots of play, then she always sleeps really well, although teething now, so Bonjella, baby Panadol & lots of patience seems to work at the moment! :)
