My photos of Central Park

As I walked into the main entrance, the trees embraced me, the temperature dipped and I could breathe again . . .

  1. We went to New York in February 2008, and Central Park was bare and icy cold and I adored it all the more. Can’t wait to go back and see it in all it’s greenery. x

These are such beautiful photos, Laney. I so love your opening sentence and phot because I so relate to them. I feel claustrophobic often in my day-to-day life near the city and every time I get closer to nature, even in the big smoke, I feel that cool, refreshing zephyr lift my spirits and I’m finding I need that a lot lately. Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks Veronica. I am really loving my photography right now. I’m so inspired to capture Melbourne now. There are lots of places to escape to nature here too – you just have to look for them as they’re not quite so neatly laid out in a massive park in the centre of the city like in NY!

  6. Beautiful photographs. I ran through there twice. Unfortunately, all I got were some crappy iPhone pics while I ran. I kept meaning to go back there and take some more decent photos, but I never did. Total missed opportunity.

Thanks Julie. Hey, at least you had the experience of running through Central Park! Did you run like Phoebe from Friends? That’s all my brother wanted to know about my trip to Central Park! You can always go back ;)

      • LOL, I should have run like Phoebe. I was too worried about running in the mud there. It was all under construction and the running areas were wet and drippy. This was my second trip to NYC and once again, there were tons of things that I didn’t get to do that I had on my bucket list.
