I am unbelievably excited that I have been selected as a Kidspot and Ford Territory Top 50 Blogger! A trip to Sydney last Wednesday for the launch party is what kicked off the 4 craziest, bloggiest days of my life as Crash Test Mummy.
So what’s it all about?
The Kidspot Top 50 Bloggers is sponsored by the Ford Territory and recognises top blogs in Australia. I am beside myself to be counted as one as we were all chosen by a panel of amazing women at the forefront of blogging and social media in Australia. You can meet the judges here and read about how they selected the Top 50 blogs. Here’s my Top 50 page!
OK, you’re wanting me to hurry up and get to the whole $5000 thing aren’t you? Firstly, let me tell you what’s in it for me and you can decide if I’m deserving ;).
The announcement of the Top 50 Bloggers is just the start of a two phase writing competition. Each of us writes a post which is judged by the panel and also voted on by our readers (that’s you) to decide which 5 bloggers go through to the next stage. To get in the Top 5 would be amazing in itself, but there is more. The Top 5 then write four more posts before the panel and voting decides the winner.
Top Blogger Prize
The Top Kidspot and Ford Territory Blogger for 2012 gets a Ford Territory to drive around in for a year and an all expenses paid trip to the Blogher Conference in New York!
I have already decided to go to BlogHer this year, but I am not sponsored, so to win this would mean I could put my blog earnings back into the blog and other opportunities like my new Community Review site.
More importantly, to win would mean that a) people really like reading my writing and b) supported me by voting.
That’s where you come in!
How to win $5000
The criteria for getting into the Top 5 and choosing the overall is a combination of judging by the panel and votes from readers.
So please vote for me and you’re in with a chance to win $5000 – how cool is that?!?!?!
Thank you for reading along for the last 8 months, and if you’ve just joined the ride, buckle up!
