Linking up with Trish from My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday with a necklace I made for CrashGirl using Amy’s tutorial from MahliMoo, Me and Three
Op shop beads – $3.10
Knotted fabric necklace – all CrashGirl wants for Christmas – priceless!
Have you ever made something from an online tutorial?
beautiful necklace :)
Lovely! I’m sure you’re daughter will love them.
I’m sure she will, she’s obsessed with anything she can dress up in :)
That’s lovely! I mean to get crafty myself and this was one on my list, way down, unfortunately, after a ton of other things I still need to get too! Actually, after our twitter conversations regarding Crashboy like behaviour yesterday, I thought the before and after was referring to him ruining the necklace!
I’m surprised I managed to get my craft on last night, but it wasn’t that difficult in the end. Ha ha re CrashBoy – he won’t be getting hold of this before Christmas, and he’d be doing well to destroy it, it’s quite hardy. Although I guess he could try and flush it down the loo!
That is very very cool. Great upcycle!
I was pretty happy with it, and for less than $5 I reckon :) It’s all CrashGirl wanted for Christmas, a necklace and a bracelet. I went and looked in the shops and everything was expensive, crappy quality and way too pink and glittery for my liking!
No, never have, but now you have me inspired.
Have a lovely Christmas Laney!
Amy has some great craft ideas and you should check out her new site too And sew we craft http://www.andsewwecraft.com/
Looks great Laney! CrashGirl will love it.
We made Mahli matching bracelets yesterday for her necklaces. She loves them.
I was meaning to use the larger beads, but I sewed the tube too narrow and they didn’t fit! Oh well, I’ll use the big beads to make her a nice chunky ‘Wilma Flintstone’ bracelet ;)
wow those look real good Laney! Really a priceless gift for your girl :)
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thanks Ai – it actually wasn’t that difficult. I had more trouble setting up the sewing machine than any of the stitching that was required! Merry Christmas to you and yours too Ai x
That is gorgeous. Well done. Very creative! I’d definitely wear that~ :)
Hey there! Sweet necklace…I have one like that which I paid major money for and wear it all the time. My baby ends up using it as a teething ring these days but I don’t mind…I’m all for multi-functional pieces ;)
Yes, I’ve followed many an online tutorial…I crocheted a starfish blanket for baby Charlotte using one! Was very successful. Oh, and of course recipes…I’ve found many recipes on blogposts…
Happy December from Vancouver, Canada!
Thats so pretty well done, I love online tutorials and now that we have pinterest the possibilities are endless
gosh that looks like a great idea. If I find a moment or two I might just have to give this a go. Merry Christmas to you.
I love that kermit the frog green… very in right now!! and looks relatively easy for the novice! I will add it to the summer list of things to do!! I hope she likes it!!!!
